~How to save
money stamping~
Tips to save money and
get more bang for your buck with stamping supplies!
I am sure you have already found out that stamping can get expensive fast! Here are some money saving ideas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Try to use products around the house like bleach for texture, or try stamping with marshmallows, potatoes, cucumbers, etc! Be creative. 2. The good old dollar store has a lot to offer, just keep a look out for any sort of stamping supplies. 3. Old maps, wrapping paper, newspaper, stamps, all make nice backgrounds on a card. 4. Look in your children's craft box, glitter, stickers, glue, all sorts of fun things to try. 5. Try the hardware store, or office supply stores to look for stamping things. You will find things a lot more inexpensive than at the craft store. 6. Use ribbons, buttons, any extra sewing accessories you might have. 7. Try asking at your local card store if they have any extra envelopes, after a major holiday is a good time to ask. 8. Using make up, and make up supplies is a creative way to make cards. 9. You can even get creative and try making your own rubber stamps. 10. Plastic wrap, wax paper, tin foil, have great textures you can use to make backgrounds with. 11. Using your computer for printing is always a great way to save money, and you can get really creative too. 12. You can try going to a second hand store and look for inexpensive clothes you can cut up and use the fabric on your cards. 13. Try using old film canisters for holding glitter, beads, etc. 14. Use old magazines or calander pages to make envelopes or backgrouds. 15. One idea I heard was to use an old spice rack! Use the old spice bottles to hold your embossing powders, and you have a great holder, and it is easy to use and find the color you need.
